INTRODUCTORY NOTE

South Side

Like a anchored boat Chrissi island is located in the open sea, almost 15 Kilometres to the south of Ierapetra. The sea, which in the middle of the diastance reaches up to 700 metres in depth, always seperated (Chrissi Island) from Crete.

Under the Libyan sea's protection, Chrisi obtained elements which make it (the island) especial. Elements that interact in space and time and they (the elements) are taken for beauty from the visitor.

The island of Ierapetra is without doubt special and it is stamped on the memory of every visitor. Its images come again and again, still live, with the exact same colours, and by the time they become precious.Into the healthy as well as fragile environment of Chrissi island the visitors should act respectfully to the natural runnings.
